Biography
Dr. Geskin grew up in the Point Breeze neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA and attended Allderdice high school. He completed his undergraduate education at UCLA with a major in psychobiology and a minor in philosophy. He then completed his medical education at the University of Pittsburgh School of medicine. He traveled to Houston to complete a general surgery internship at UT Houston followed by a Urology residency at UT Houston and the MD Anderson Cancer Center. He then pursued a fellowship in advanced robotics and minimally invasive surgery at the Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. Geskin has performed hundreds of robotic cases to treat a variety of urologic conditions including prostate cancer, kidney cancer and ureteral stricture. He was the first physician in the state of Pennsylvania to offer Single Port Transvesical Robot Assisted Radical Prostatectomy (make this a link), the first in the state of Pennsylvania to perform Single Port Transvesical Diverticulectomy, and the first in the state of Pennsylvania to perform Single Port Retroperitoneal Nephroureterectomy. Additionally, he was the first surgeon in the Pittsburgh area to perform Single Port Transvesical Simple prostatectomy. He specializes in multiport and single port robotic surgery for both benign and malignant urologic conditions and is also trained in focal therapy for prostate cancer.
